Four arrested after Raith v Rangers sectarian probe

POLICE have arrested four people after an investigation was carried out into reports of sectarian chanting in a fixture between Raith Rovers and Rangers at Stark’s Park.
Two male teenagers, aged 15 and 17, and a 20-year-old man were charged under offensive behaviour legislation. A 36-year-old was also charged.

Hide AdThe four will appear before Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court later this month.
Inspector Alan Seath told STV: “This behaviour by a misguided minority is detrimental to the entire football community and will not be tolerated.
“Police Scotland takes all reports of offensive behaviour and communications very seriously and will to pursue all lines of enquiry to ensure that offenders are brought before the courts.”
