Fabrizio Romano drops major Rangers update as Nicolas Raskin poised for shock Ibrox loan exit
Rangers verbally accept offer for Belgian midfielder
Rangers have reached an agreement for Nicolas Raskin to depart the club on loan, according to reports.
The Belgian midfielder has been left out of the Rangers squad for the past two matches due to ongoing transfer interest.
It was expected that Rangers would land a sizeable fee for the 25-year-old before the transfer deadline on the back of impressive performances for Belgium at the World Cup.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano posted to his 29 million followers on Wednesday that Rangers have verbally accepted an offer for Raskin from Besiktas, with the ball now in the player's court. It has been reported elsewhere in Turkish media that the move would involve a loan transfer with a purchase option for the player whose contract expires in 2028.
A move to Besiktas would see Raskin return to Glasgow before the end of the year as the Turkish giants have been drawn to face Celtic at Parkhead in the Europa League on November 5.
The Scottish transfer window closes at 5pm on Thursday but clubs in Turkey have until midnight on Friday to sign players.
Rangers have been interested in signing former loan winger Vaclav Cerny from Besiktas this summer, however, reports claim that the negotiations do not involve a potential swap for the Czech winger to head in the opposite direction.
Speaking about the prospect of Raskin departing before the deadline on Tuesday, Rangers manager Derek McInnes told Sky Sports: “Nico’s been first-class since he came back from the World Cup, he’s been good as gold, he’s trained brilliantly.
“Obviously there’s been a lot of chat about potential interest and there’s been a lot of conversations had with the club and prospective buyers. But until an offer comes in that the club need to consider, Nico just has to knuckle down and train.
“I’ve no doubts that if the window closes and Nico’s still a Rangers player, he’ll give brilliant service as he’s done previously. He’s getting interest because he’s a good player. I want to work with good players. We just need to wait and see how things develop.”
