Barry Ferguson brands Rangers return rumours ‘a lot of nonsense’
Barry Ferguson has rubbished reports linking him with a return to Ibrox, branding the speculation ‘a lot of nonsense’.
The former Rangers skipper emerged as a possible contender for a role in a Derek McInnes-led coaching team earlier this week but Ferguson insisted he had had no contact with McInnes or Rangers.

Hide AdFerguson, who had two spells with Rangers during his career, was in the running for a role under Pedro Caixinha, but ultimately lost out to fellow ex-Ger Jonatan Johansson.
The former Finland international striker stayed on at Rangers as first team coach following the departures of Caixinha and Helder Baptista.
Speaking on the Peter and Roughie show on STV2, Ferguson said: “I’ve not spoken to Derek, I’ve not spoken to Rangers... it was a lot of nonsense.
“I woke up on Monday morning and had numerous texts and missed calls and I don’t know where it’s come from.”
Ferguson said he felt the Aberdeen boss would be a ‘very good Rangers manager’ but added: “We’ll just need to wait and see.”
