'It's between the club' - Rangers ace addresses transfer possibility and makes title declaration

Malik Tillman spoke on a possible permanent transfer to Rangers from Bayern Munich.

The midfielder started in the club’s 2-1 extra-time success over Aberdeen in the Viaplay Cup semi-final, impressing in flashes before being replaced in the 74th minute. The 20 year-old is on a season-long loan from the German giants.

“There’s nothing yet,” he confirmed. “It depends on the club and also Bayern. They have to communicate first then we’ll see. It depends on the clubs, not me.”

Tillman was delighted to play his part in the success over the Dons which set up a final with rivals Celtic at Hampden Park at the end of February. He spoke of the team’s mentality, to not only come from behind but to keep going and get the win in extra-time thanks to Kemar Roofe's goal.

“We’re thrilled,” he said. “Everyone wants to be in the final. As a team we want to win titles and this is a big step towards one of them.

“I thought we dominated the whole game but conceded an unlucky goal. We didn’t defend it well but we came back again. We kept going and kept working hard. We said at halftime it was all about mentality. Even in extra time it’s always a mentality thing. You need to work hard and stay calm in your head to play easy.

“The manager told us at halt-time it was a mentality thing. He also said we’d played very well and we just had to come back and get a goal in the second half.”
