The hosts are without several first-team players as Nir Bitton and Hatem Abd Elhamed will both miss the game after testing positive for Covid-19, while Ryan Christie is still in self-isolation.
There is a chance Odsonne Edouard will return after his positive test, though he’s not due back from France until Friday at the earliest. The striker’s health will dictate whether he’s involved. James Forrest is another absence as he misses out through injury.
But Rangers don’t have their injury problems to seek themselves. Nikola Katic is definitely out, while Filip Helander, Kemar Roofe and Joe Aribo are serious doubts.
There is also the trouble with Alfredo Morelos having to travel back from South America having represented Colombia.
Here’s how we think Steven Gerrard will set his team up:

1. GK - Jon McLaughlin
McGregor has typically started in the bigger matches this season but his injury doubt will likely convince Gerrard to go with summer signing McLaughlin instead. Photo: Craig Williamson - SNS Group

2. DR - James Tavernier
The Rangers captain is a certainty to start. He's been in great form so far this campaign. Photo: Alan Harvey - SNS Group

3. DLC - Connor Goldson
A near mainstay during Gerrard's term, only a last-minute injury would see Goldson missing this one. Photo: SNS Group - Craig Williamson

4. RCB - Leon Balogun
With Katic out and Helander a doubt, it seems more than likely that Balogun will partner Goldson after recently returning to action following his own injury troubles. Photo: Rob Casey - SNS Group
