'I was annoyed at how bad we were' admits Rangers' winning Old Firm hero Allan McGregor
The Rangers number one denied Callum McGregor and Odsonne Edouard early on and then made an even better stop to tip a Leigh Griffiths drive onto the post in the 21st minute as Celtic ramped up the pressure on Rangers in the top of the table Old Firm clash.
However they couldn’t breach McGregor’s goal despite their dominance - and that irritated the Rangers goalkeeper.

“I thought we were really really poor in the first half and for the 15 minutes before the ending off and a bit better from then.
“They just looked hungrier, but it’s a similar answer I have to everything - the win is the most important thing.”
McGregor also wouldn’t be too carried away despite Rangers’ 19-point advantage at the summit of the Scottish premiership, adding: “Hopefully in four or five months it’ll be a huge win.”
His manager also praised his goalkeeper after admitting his team “couldn’t get a foothold” in the first half.
Steven Gerrard said: “Wow, outstanding, he’s a world-class goalkeeper. He’s outstanding and reliable, trustworthy. I knew before, but know even more now why he’s been so successful at this club because he’s bailed us out again on a couple of occasions.”
