How the Rangers players rated in tough 1-0 win over St Johnstone and 17th clean sheet

Steven Gerrard’s team recorded a 17th league clean sheet and moved three points closer to the title with a grinding win over one of the in-form teams in the Scottish Premiership.

The first half was flat but Rangers picked up in the second period and won the game through a driving strike from Ianis Hagi after the Romanian drifted inside from the right flank.

Allan McGregor made two key stops against Craig Bryson in both halves and Rangers could have scored a couple more – but Ryan Kent slipped as he shot and Connor Goldson prodded wide close in.

Here’s how the players rated in our usual performance scale.
