Steven Gerrrd didn’t spring any surprises in his team selection to face Kilmarnock at Ibrox with Alfredo Morelos and Kemar Roofe suspended – plus Royal Antwerp on the horizon.

But the Rangers supporters were buoyed to see Scott Arfield and Jermain Defoe on the bench – and hoping for another three points closer to the title.

Mckinstray John: “This is a huge game today for us, this is a must win at home today.”

Paul Speed: “Go out and get the win today, but of desire and urgency please.”

@MichaelAndo88: “Get game done by half time then get the subs on.”

Ross Easton: “Strong start needed Gers - let’s get a couple early then we can relax. Strong side - hope Itten gets better service this week.”

@stewie_21: “Hopefully Arfield and Defoe get the opportunity to get on."

@RangersMan84: “Was hoping to see Wright and Defoe, but you’d lose a lot of physicality against a very physical Kilmarnock team fighting relegation.”

@Sh4zam_: “Thought Defoe and Wright would have played today but nonetheless hope we get the three points that’s the only thing that matters.”

@petera1872: “I appreciate his stats are high but for me Hagi is very lucky to start again. Needs a performance as do a lot of them.”

@dmurray73: “Would've dropped Kent, give Wright his chance."

@CheshireBlueCW2: “Is Ryan Kent officially undroppable?”

@weestevieg1984: “Kent's due is all a good performance, becoming a joke that he can't be dropped.”

@ALASTAIRPATON1: “Good move to bring Balogun on instead of Helander to deal with Lafferty and his pace!”

@GR_BEAR1979: “Not gonna argue with the gaffer but I prefer Helander. Still a strong decent starting 11.”
