Former Rangers midfielder and Motherwell boss in frame for League One manager's job
Former SPFL Premiership duo Joey Barton and Stephen Robinson are both under consideration for the vacant manager’s job at Bristol Rovers.

Ex-Motherwell manager Robinson, who resigned from Fir Park at the end of last year amid a 13-game winless run, has applied to succeed Paul Tisdale according to reports and had also been linked with a return to management at Kilmarnock.
However former Rangers midfielder Barton, most recently with Fleetwood Town in the same division, is bookmakers’ favourite for the role at Rovers, who are 20th.
