Few surprises as Premier Sports select Betfred Cup TV games - Celtic, Rangers & Aberdeen fixtures chosen

Celtic’s clash with Ross County and Rangers’ trip to Falkirk have both been chosen and moved to a Sunday slot on November 29.

The other game is Aberdeen’s trip to St Mirren the day previous.

Holders Celtic will face the Staggies at Parkhead with a 2pm kick-off, while League One Falkirk will host Premiership league leaders Rangers at 5pm.

The all-Premiership clash between the Dons and Buddies is a 5.30pm kick-off.

The other five fixtures from the last-16 round are Alloa Athletic v Heart of Midlothian, Arbroath v Dunfermline Athletic, Hibernian v Dundee, Livingston v Ayr United and Motherwell v St Johnstone.

Teams who reach the next stage will play the quarter-final fixture in December with the semi-final scheduled for January and final in February.

Premier Sports have the rights to show between 12 and 16 Betfred Cup matches during the campaign.
