Every Rangers transfer signing made by Ally McCoist as manager

It’s a decade since Ally McCoist was named as Walter Smith’s successor and the 13th manager in the club’s history.

On February 22, 2011 McCoist and Ibrox chief executive Martin Bain held court as a one-year rolling contract was announced for Rangers’ record goalscorer who would take over that summer.

McCoist described taking over from his mentor, who he had acted as assistant with since 2007, as “taking the mic from Frank Sinatra” – and spoke of his “absolute dream and privilege”.

But what followed was a well-documented and tumultuous period on Rangers’ history.

To mark the 10th anniversary of the announcement as the 13th manager at Ibrox, we look back on all the transfer recruits made by McCoist once he did assume the dugout role for himself – from first signing Juanma Ortiz through to Lee Robinson, and everyone in between.
