Alfredo Morelos: Rangers suffer Old Firm and European blow over striker injury

Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos will miss Sunday's Premiership encounter with Celtic.

Ibrox boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst confirmed the Colombian is out of the top-of-the-table clash at Ibrox.

Speaking ahead of Sunday's fixture, which could go some way to deciding the destination of the league title with Rangers trailing their rivals by three points, the Dutchman revealed they could miss him for the Europa League clash with Braga.

Morelos was pictured at Glasgow airport on crutches, reportedly on the way to London to see a specialist.

He had been with the Colombia squad for their crucial qualifying double header with Bolivia and Venezuela. However, he played not part as the team failed to reach the World Cup.
