Romelu Lukaku – brother of the Belgian side's winger Jordan – tuned in for the second leg of the last-32 meeting at Ibrox and an impressive performance from Rangers’ Colombian.

But as well as Morelos having a role in each of Rangers’ four goals while he was on the pitch, particularly scoring the first and laying on the third for Ryan Kent, one act by the striker attracted the Inter Milan forward’s appreciation.

When Jeremy Gelin pulled up with a hamstring injury shortly before half-time Morelos paused play to allow the defender to be treated rather than take advantage and advance to Ortwin de Wolf’s goal unhindered.

"Fair play to Morelos from Glasgow Rangers. Through on goal and stopping for an injury of the opponent.. great sportsmanship,” wrote the Belgian striker on Twitter.

Rangers won 5-2 in another breathless 90 minute meeting to progress.
