The Scottish Premiership league leaders have been linked with a number of players this transfer window, including Bournemouth duo Jack Simpson and Nnamdi Ofoborh, while they are said to maintain an interest in Peterborough United forward Siriki Dembele.

The club have yet to add to the squad this month but Gerrard has informed that recruitment is more than just looking at the current window.

Gerrard said: “The recruitment never stops here, we are always trying to improve and get better. We are always looking further down the line and looking one/two windows ahead.

“We are all on the same page from Ross, the recruitment and scouts.

Rangers are linked with players on a daily basis so it is not news to me. We are actively trying to add to the group for the summer but I certainly won't mention any names.”
