Ibrox management are said to be unhappy that McKay has failed to come to terms on an agreement of a new contract, with his current deal set to expire at the end of the 2017/18 season.

Former manager Mark Warburton is said to be interested in signing the 22-year-old for Nottingham Forest. After two seasons out on loan, McKay became the first-choice left-winger at Ibrox under Warburton, and his old boss is keen to bring him to the City Ground.
