Rangers learn potential Europa League opponents

Rangers will face either Cypriot club AEL Limassol or St Josephs of Gibraltar should they emerge victorious from their first qualifying round match against Progres Niederkorn in the Europa League.

The Luxembourg side finished fourth in the National Division last season, a distant 21 points off the league winners F91 Dudelange.

They play their matches at the Stade Jos Haupert, which holds fewer than 5,000 spectators.

Niederkorn have failed to win any of their 12 matches in Europe, scoring only once. They lost 3-0 on aggregate to Shamrock Rovers in the 2015/16 Europa league.

Pedro Caixinha’s men will play the first leg at home on 29 June before travelling to Niederkorn for the return match on 6 July.
