Rangers await Steven Davis fitness test ahead of Bursaspor match

Rangers will find out later today whether Steven Davis will be declared fit to play in the Ibrox side's Champions League encounter against Bursaspor.

The midfielder picked up a hamstring injury during Sunday's 3 - 2 win at Pittodrie against Aberdeen.

The Northern Ireland international will be assessed later today after training.

Manager Walter Smith said: "We are not sure about him yet. It's only a slight hamstring injury but he's doubtful.

"We train this afternoon and we will not know until after training."

Rangers lost all their home games in the Champions League last year and Smith wants an improvement.

He added: "Our away games were okay last year but our home form was really disappointing and we need to make the adjustment.

"After our home form last season we can't go into any game in the Champions League as the favoured team. "
