Raith 4-2 Alloa: Elliot and Cardle seal Rovers win
The Wasps stung their hosts with a 16th-minute opener from Kevin Cawley, only for Joe Cardle’s cross/shot to sneak a 28th-minute equaliser.
Alloa emerged early for the second-half but were caught cold by a superb Raith second just two minutes in. Cardle sparked a magnificent move that involved Elliot and Kevin Moon before Grant Anderson fired in.

Hide AdAnderson then went from hero to villain when he bundled Daryll Meggatt over in the box to concede a 62nd-minute penalty that Ryan McCord converted with aplomb. But, with Kirk then somehow skewing his shot wide of the target from barely two yards out, Rovers secured all three points with two late goals.
First, Elliot stooped to head in a Cardle cross before Cardle himself finished coolly when Lewis Vaughan found his team-mate on the break.
“I definitely feel for Andy,” said Raith manager Grant Murray. “Nine times out of ten Andy Kirk will bury them, but fortunately for us he pulled it wide.”
