Police seek 13 men over scottish cup final disorder

So far 38 arrests have been made across Scotland since the match between Hibernian and Rangers on 21 May.

Hibernian supporters flooded on to the Hampden pitch after the Edinburgh side’s dramatic 3-2 win,  while Rangers fans also  made it past stewards  and on to the turf before mounted officers restored order.

In the latest police operation, four men were arrested in Glasgow, Renfrewshire and Edinburgh on Thursday for alleged assaults and incidents of disorder.

Those who have been previously arrested vary in age from 17 to 50.

Police Scotland have now released 13 images of fans who were on the pitch at Hampden as they look to make further arrests.

A force spokesman said: “Police in Glasgow are continuing to investigate  acts of violence, disorder  and vandalism that took  place during the pitch incursion immediately following the final whistle at Hampden Park after the Scottish Cup final on Saturday, 21 May.

“Police Scotland are releasing images of persons they are keen to trace whom they believe may be able to assist them with their enquiries.

“Anyone with information about the identities of the persons pictured is asked to contact the incident room at Govan Police Office.”
