Considering Rangers’ continued struggles, the Portuguese head coach was asked if there was any chance of O’Halloran coming back to the squad once his St Johnstone loan was finished in January.

Caixinha, though, was unequivocal in his response, saying: “He is not my type of player. He is not the type of player Rangers need.

“I wish all the players who left all the best. They are not our players any more. It is a totally different situation to wear this badge.”
