Page makes loan move to Hamilton

Motherwell defender Jonathan Page has joined neighbours Hamilton Accies on a month’s loan.

The 22-year old has found himself behind Shaun Hutchinson, Simon Ramsden and Adam Cummins in the battle for a centre-back spot this season,
although he has started two games for Stuart McCall’s Scottish Premier League leaders.

Page, a former Portsmouth player, started against La Liga side Levante in the Estadio
Ciudad de Valencia during Motherwell’s failed bid for Europa League qualification in August and in the SPL in Motherwell’s 4-1 home win over
Inverness Caledonian Thistle earlier this month.

Irn-Bru First Division Hamilton say the deal is “initially until the end of October, but with a view to extending it beyond that if required”.

Page told MFC TV: “I am
hoping to get at least four or
five games in the month period with the aim of trying to get back playing at the level I feel I should be.

“I’ve played a few games here at Motherwell this season, but you can’t beat the feeling of playing week in and week out, so that’s something I am really looking forward to.

“This First Division is a really good league with a number of excellent teams.”
