CRISTIANO Ronaldo scored a hat-trick in 15 minutes to deny Northern Ireland a famous win in Belfast.

Northern Ireland finished the game with nine men after Chris Brunt and Kyle Lafferty were sent off, with visitors Portugal also going down to to ten men after Helder Postiga was red-carded.
