New SFA role for Jackson

The Scottish Football Association have announced the appointment of Barrie Jackson in the role of independent non-executive director.

The 56-year-old from Edinburgh has spent most of his career in the brewing and distilling industries and is currently a non-executive director of Tullis Russell Group, a non-executive advisor to the chief executive of ACCA in London and a trustee of the Russell Trust.

Jackson said: “I am immensely proud to become the first independent non-executive director of the Scottish FA. I am looking forward to bringing my experience and a fresh perspective to Scottish football.”
