New Saints deal for injury–hit Adams

Jamie Adams has signed a new one-year deal with St Johnstone, the Perth club have confirmed.

The midfielder penned the contract extension following a season blighted by injury. The 24-year-old spent several months on the sidelines with a hip injury but managed to impress manager Steve Lomas.

The player spent some of the previous season on loan at Dundee and Lomas is now keen to see him push on in Perth. The club said: “Steve Lomas has seen enough of the player to believe that he can have a more prominent role to play with the club in the season ahead.”
