Neil Lennon confirmed this afternoon that he had been in talks with midfielder Andrew Shinnie over a potential move to Easter Road.

Speaking to BBC Radio Scotland moments before the kick-off of their match versus Dunfermline, Lennon told BBC Scotland: “We’ve spoke to the club and we’ve spoken to the player. There’s no guarantee that we’ll get anything done but we have made our interest known.

“He’s available and when a player becomes available and it’s within our budget, then we have got to look at it.”
