Motherwell chief denies improved Hearts bid for Chris Cadden

Alan Burrows, Motherwell’s chief operating officer and director, took to Twitter to debunk a report by a newspaper that said Hearts had made an improved bid of £300,000 for the 20-year-old.
Burrows tweeted: “Don’t normally do this, but there’s a story online today that the club has received an improved offer for Chris Cadden today. We haven’t.

“Yes, we are a club who has a model that involves recruiting, developing and selling, but only when the value is correct to everyone.”
Cadden has a contract at Fir Park until the end of May 2019. He has been capped twice by Scotland under-21s, with the Steelmen believed to want around £500,000 for their youth product.
Hearts see him as a replacement for Sam Nicholson, with Jamie Walker potentially moving on also. Cadden is a versatile, having played in numerous roles for Well. He has played nearly 70 times for the Steelmen and enjoyed a loan spell with Albion Rovers.
