More images of 2016/17 Rangers kits leaked ahead of launch

MORE images purporting to show what the new Rangers kits will look like for the 2016/17 season have appeared on a Spanish website.

Todo Sobre Camisetas posted images of the new home kit, away kit and a third kit that the Ibrox club will wear next season.

The red and white quartered third kit is similar to the away kit worn by the likes of Gordon Durie in the 1995/96 season, while the away kit bears more than a passing resemblance to the 1999/00 change kit sponsored by NTL.

Many supporters have boycotted official merchandise in recent seasons, as a result of Mike Ashley’s Sports Direct empire owning the club’s retail rights.

But fans could begin buying the strips again after Ibrox chairman Dave King served notice to end a deal with Rangers Retail Ltd., set up as a joint Rangers-Ashley company.

Earlier this month, leaked images appeared on footyheadlines.com, appearing to show secretly-taken snaps of the new kits.

The new kits are again made by Puma and will carry the 32Red sponsor on the front.

The strips have not been officially launched, but Rangers could wear one of the new kits during their match against US outfit Charleston Battery in early July.
