Mixu Paatelainen has injury fears over goal hero Guy Demel

Dundee United are sweating over the fitness of Guy Demel for Saturday's crunch clash away to Ross County. The Frenchman limped off during Saturday's last-gasp 2-1 win over Hearts which gave Mixu Paatelainen's bottom dogs a glimmer of hope in their fight to avoid relegation.

The 34-year-old put the
Tangerines on their way to victory over Hearts by heading them into a 43rd-minute lead with his first goal for the club, before pulling up and being replaced by Paul Dixon after the break.

United manager Paatelainen, preparing for the trip to Dingwall, said: “We don’t know about Demel.

“Hopefully it’s just a strain and is nothing big. But there
is something. However, we don’t know yet how long he might be out for.”
