McGonigal doesn’t want to let Bo’ness barmy army down in Dundee

bo’ness boss Alan McGonigal
admits his team will face a tricky test as they travel to play Dundee Violet in the fourth round of the Emirates Scottish Junior Cup tomorrow. The
Glenesk Park side are chasing promotion to the Super
League this season and McGonigal, whose full
focus is now on Bo’ness
after leaving a coaching post
at Hamilton Accies, is well aware of the threat posed by this weekend’s opponents. He said: “We will have a good
support at Dundee and they’ll be our 12th man.

“It’s important we don’t let them down.

“We must keep it tight at the back. Dundee Violet are on form with players who can win games on their own.

“They are sitting in a nice place in the table and promotion is probably their main aim this season but a good run in the Scottish Cup is always welcome for any club. We’ve had a look at them and it’s going to be a game we will have to work hard in.

“In recent matches, we’ve been scoring goals but probably giving too many away at the back. If we tighten then our season will get better.
