Mark Warburton: Rangers close to signing two new players
O’Halloran was left out of the Perth club’s match with Hamilton yesterday.
The other player wanted by Rangers is believed to be Brentford defensive midfielder Toumani Diagouraga who is expected in Scotland in the coming days. But Warburton would only say: “He’s a Brentford player and I am not going to talk about Brentford players. We only ever talk about players when our business is completed.”

Hide AdIt was a similar refrain when he was asked about O’Halloran, pictured. “Michael is a St Johnstone player and we are never going to talk about other teams’ players,” he said.
But he added: “I think we are very close to a couple of players, very close. A lot of work has gone on in the background and hopefully we will get our work over the line in the coming days.”
