Livingston look for good Friday

LIVINGSTON are looking to build on last Saturday’s 3-1 success at Morton by seeing off Hamilton Accies as the Friday Night Football experiment is given a go in West Lothian for the first time.

A draw would take Livingston up into fourth place and bring a smile back to their fans after two successive home defeats at the hands of Dundee and Ayr United.

Manager John Hughes said: “It was great to get back to winning ways down at Greenock last week and it will be good to do the same in this game, especially as it has a bit of extra focus by being played on the Friday night. I said last week there was still a lot of work required in establishing how we want the team to play but to be fair to the boys they have worked hard again this week.”

Defender Jonathan Brown is again missing and Hughes has doubts over Liam Fox, David Sinclair and Stefan Scougall while former Hibs player Kevin McCann looks set to be involved again as a trialist.

Accies are looking to improve on a run of only two victories in eight games tonight and manager Billy Reid has targeted a win to propel his side above their hosts in the table.

Reid said: “I want us to finish as high up the table as we can this season and beating Livingston would be a good start to moving us up the way. We have lost our last two games so it is really important to bounce back but we know it will not be easy.”

Stephen Hendrie misses out due to Scotland Under-17 duty while Ali Crawford’s knee injury keeps him sidelined, but Mark McLaughlin and Jon McShane are back in contention.
