Livingston 1- 1 Morton: Pulsating game sees honours shared

LIVI and Morton cancelled each other out in an exciting game which saw both sides going for the win until the final whistle.

David O’Brien started in confident mood and had penalty claims turned away after a challenge by Jason Talbot.

Then on 16 minutes O’Brien blasted a shot into the net off the bar from the edge of the box after a neat pass by Fouad Bachirou. It was a positive start by Allan Moore’s team as they tried to get back some of their early season form.

However, Livi drew level on 33 minutes from a penalty awarded after Mark McNulty was tripped by the keeper following a great pass by Stefan Scougall.

Morton keeper Matthew McGinlay was given only a yellow card, he got a hand to Ian Russell’s penalty but the ball crept in.

O’Brien was denied by a fine Andy McNeil save as Morton started the second half well.

Bachirou was inches away from giving Morton the lead with his 65th-minute shot after good work by Paul Di Giacomo.

Livi sub Keagan Jacobs sent in a menacing cross that McNulty fired beyond the keeper, however Grant Evans cleared off the line.
