Livingston 0-0 Hamilton: Livingston deny Accies

Livingston claimed a laudable draw against Hamilton despite being reduced to 10 men in an ill-tempered stalemate.

Livi teenager Ross Docherty endured a dramatic, albeit brief, outing as he was dismissed in the encounter’s most contentious moment. He was shown a red card by referee Steven McLean for a reckless challenge on Hamilton defender Ziggy Gordon after 27 minutes, an evident attempt at retribution after a similar challenge perpetrated by Gordon minutes earlier, for which the Accies defender was only booked.

Hamilton’s Gary Fisher almost broke the deadlock in scintillating fashion after 16 minutes, producing a spectacular overhead kick from 10 yards which Darren Jamieson parried.

Hamilton continued to dominate and Stevie May, scorer of consecutive hat-tricks ahead of last night’s clash, came close as the second half began, skewing wide from close range.
