Liverpool fan bailed over racism incident

A 20-YEAR-OLD man arrested on suspicion of racially abusing Oldham player Tom Adeyemi during Friday’s FA Cup third-round game against Liverpool has been released on bail.

The man, from Aintree, was arrested on Saturday by Merseyside Police on suspicion of a racially aggravated public order offence. Late in Liverpool’s 5-1 win, Adeyemi, on loan from Norwich, appeared to take offence at something shouted from the Kop.
