Linlithgow boss Dave Baikie not expecting a thriller

LINLITHGOW manager Dave Baikie is a hard man to please.

Sunday's match against Largs will be his sixth Scottish Junior Cup final – he's been on the winning side twice – but he insists he has yet to see a good one.

That's not to say he hasn't enjoyed any, just that sometimes nerves get to everyone involved. This time around he's better prepared. "We're making some little adjustments to our preparations. Things like not being there too early beforehand when the players have time to kill before getting ready," he explained. "Things like having our experienced players relax the youngsters who have never been here before. We must never take our eye off why we're here, which is to win the Cup.

"We've got to start well and handle the occasion. We have nine players who have played in a Scottish Cup Final before. It's been said before that it's how we play on the day that counts."
