Leith buoyed after draw with Carluke

Leith ATHLETIC of the East Seniors Central Taxis First Division recorded a 2-2 draw in a friendly against West of Scotland Juniors team, Carluke Rovers.

Manager Derek Riddel, whose side look genuine promotion contenders, said: “We knocked the ball about really well despite missing several players.”

Leith took the lead when Greig Tulloch crossed the ball low for Jack Combe to net from close range. Mark Haddow equalised for Carluke before Leith again went ahead when Kyle Boggie was handily placed to score after good work by a trialist. Carluke equalised late in the game through Stewart Arnott.
