The 22-year-old left-winger has represented both Scotland and England at youth level, the former thanks to a Glasgow-born grandfather.

Jordan Jones, who has had loan spells at Hartlepool and Cambridge, signs from Middlesbrough, while another north-east addition signs in the form of central midielder Martin Smith who arrives from Sunderland.

Also signing is 20-year-old defender Joshua Webb. The former England youth defender was a prominent member of Aston Villa’s 2013 victory in the NextGen Series.

Along with the six permanent deals, Kilmarnock have negotiated loan moves for five players.

Albanian striker Flo Bojaj and Scottish youth international defender Will Boyle come up from Clark’s former club Huddersfield.

Centre Back Jonathan Burn, 20, joins from Middlesbrough; goalkeeper Oliver Davies, 21, arrives from Swansea and 19-year-old centre-back Mark Waddington is signed on a temporary deal from Stoke City.
