Kenny Shiels given another two-match ban by SFA

KILMARNOCK manager Kenny Shiels has been given yet another touchline ban by the SFA - for making remarks about the integrity of the SFA’s disciplinary panel.

In the SFA’s written judgement, Shiels is found in breach of rules on bringing the game into disrepute and not acting in the game’s best interests.

The Kilmarnock boss was handed a four-match ban, with two games suspended to the end of the forthcoming season if he can avoid breaching the rules during the 2013-14 campaign.

The punishment stems from an interview in which Shiels claimed that Celtic were “monsters of the Scottish game”, and implied that the SPL champions held influence over the outcomes of disciplinary hearings.

Sanctions against Kilmarnock for failing to keep Shiels in line with SFA rules have been deferred until 21 June.

Shiels received sanction from the SFA in November after criticising Euan Norris, and was reprimanded again after being sent to the stands in another game in the same month.

In January, Shiels was handed a four-match ban after accusing fourth official Andrew Dallas of “fabrication” of evidence against him.
