Jozy Altidore seals deal with Sunderland

Sunderland have completed the signing of American striker Jozy Altidore from Dutch side AZ Alkmaar on a four-year deal for an undisclosed fee.

The 23-year-old arrived on Wearside on Monday to complete a medical and he yesterday became manager Paolo Di Canio’s sixth signing of the summer.

Altidore has also scored 17 goals in 60 appearances for his country after making his senior debut in 2007.
