Jim Jefferies: I won’t quit Dunfermline

JIM Jefferies insists he will not abandon Dunfermline in their hour of need as the club today faces a critical battle to stay afloat.

Dunfermline must come up with an estimated £50,000 to pay a HMRC bill by the close of business today, or face a
potential winding-up order.

Jefferies has endured mounting wages turmoil like players and staff, who have only received 60 per cent of their earnings this month, but has no intention of quitting.

He said: “I enjoy the job. The club’s been great to me and I brought a lot of players here so I won’t just walk away. But listen, the club might not get to the end of the season
because of the state it’s in. I’m not bothered about the money side of things in terms of a new contract, it’s about where the club are going.”
