Jags kid edged for Asian award

PARTICK Thistle youngster Aaron Sekhon has been pipped by Wolverhampton Wanderers central defender Danny Batth in the chase for the very first Asian Football Young Player of the Year Award in the UK.

The 17-year-old, who joined the Jags in the summer from Falkirk, has been featuring regularly for the Firhill reserves and under-19 side this season and he had been nominated along with Batth, Jasbir Singh of Solihull Motors, Adil Nabi of Premiership side West Bromwich Albion and Walsall’s Malvind Benning.
