We WERE playing an incredibly-poor Rangers team on Saturday, but we couldn’t do much against them. Allan McGregor had virtually nothing to do for the whole game as what shots we did have were tame or were nearer the car park than the goal. Defensively we seemed more solid but we weren’t put under any great pressure or tested to any degree. Had the disputed penalties not been given we could still be awaiting a goal. We had a few moments of decent passing and build-up play but it fizzled out in the final third. Mostly, though, there were too many aimless punts upfield, which saw us give back what little possession we did have almost immediately. Rangers played some really nice passing football all day, but only because we were standing off all of their players, giving them hours of time to pick out a fast, accurate pass.
