It was a fifth friendly win in a row for Terry Butcher’s men, although the Sky Blues had a great chance when Foran grappled down Gary McSheffrey after four minutes, only for former Rangers player John Fleck to hammer the penalty against the post.
A tremendous Andrew Shinnie run created the hosts’ opener after 19 minutes. McKay’s resulting shot was blocked by the stray hand of William Edjenguele and Foran made better work of the penalty than Fleck.

Hide AdFive minutes after the break, it was two for Inverness when Graeme Shinnie unleashed a 25-yarder which Coventry goalkeeper Murphy spilled and McKay slotted home the rebound.
Coventry got one back when Shaun Jeffers netted from eight yards but home substitute Jason Oswell stabbed home the third in stoppage time.
