'Worst and best five minutes ever', 'Marshall's face is awesome', '10-year deal for Clarke' 'I'm a wreck': Fans react to Scotland's penalty shoot-out win

Scotland social media can be a frustrated and angry place – not so tonight as a 22-year wait came to an end against Serbia and Steve Clarke led the side through qualification for the European Championships next summer.

They did it the hard way through penalties though and fans took to social media to share their joy.

Wendy Gebbie: “Well done to the whole team tonight... we made it hard for ourselves.. Like typical Scotland fashion but every player gave it their all tonight on that park and hats off to those penalty takers and excellent goal keeping skills.”
