Is this the Scotland team that will face Israel in Euro 2020 play-off after SIX players forced to withdraw?
This is the team our readers believe should face Israel in the Euro 2020 play-off semi-final after we put out a call on social media.
Steve Clarke’s side was rocked on Wednesday afternoon after it was revealed six players would be absent from the upcoming international triple-header, including tonight’s crucial match at Hampden.
Stuart Armstrong tested positive for Covid-19, which also forced Ryan Christie and Kieran Tierney into self-isolation after they’d been in close contact with their former Celtic team-mate. They were joined on the absence sheet by Liam Palmer, Scott McKenna and Oliver Burke, all of whom had to drop out due to injury.
It’s hardly the ideal preparation for Scotland’s biggest match in over two decades as they try to make it back to an international tournament for the first time since France ‘98.
However, as our readers have demonstrated with their team selections, there is more than enough talent left in the squad to find victory tonight.
