When the Betfred Cup will start - Championship club reveal provisional date after SPFL talks
The Betfred Cup group stage will kick off at the start of October, according to Queen of the South.
In an update to fans, the Doonhamers revealed talks have taken place with the SPFL regarding the 2020/21 campaign.

Hide AdThe tournament was due to start next month with a new broadcasting deal with Premier Sports but it had to be postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Plans are now being put in place for Scottish football to resume.
First Minister Nicola Sturgeon announced on Thursday that professional sport can begin again behind closed doors from Monday.
The Premiership is not due to start until August with the Championship following in October. No date has been set for League One and League Two.

Hide AdQueen of the South’s statement said: “Following talks with the SPFL ,there had looked to be a bit more clarity on when the football season could begin again. With that in mind the Board held a meeting yesterday to start discussing our plans for the new campaign.
“All being well it looks like we will make a return to action on the pitch from early October. With three Betfred cup matches pencilled in from the 7th and the Championship matches for season 2020/21 likely to commence on the 17th of October with teams playing 27 games.
“The SPFL are talking to clubs in league one and two to discuss their plans before issuing fixtures for the Betfred Cup. We would hope to have these fixtures and details of our league matches in the next few weeks.”
