Tommy Wright insists there's more to come from Kilmarnock after Rugby Park debut defeat by Motherwell
The home side dominated possession in the first half but failed to find the net and a quick-thinking moment form Graham Alexander and a well-struck finish from Motherwell midfielder Allan Campbell gave the Steelmen all three points with a 1-0 in the Premiership.
Wright admitted there was more to come from his team, who he assumed charge of at the start of the week.

Hide Ad"I’m encouraged,” said the former St Johnstone manager. “I have been encouraged since I came in with the quality in the squad. We know the areas we have to improve and they just have to persevere with it.
“Some great crosses came in and it might have needed to come off a Motherwell player's knee to go in the back of the net just to change things for you.
“But in terms of how we wanted to play and the areas we wanted to try and hurt them, we did that. What was missing was a goal and an end product.
"But in terms of controlling a game of football, and I know that doesn't always win you games and that's the perfect example, we deserved at least a point.”
His opposite number Graham Alexander was pleased with his own side’s win – which he played a key role in.
“It’s a brilliant three points for us,” said the Motherwell manager. “I’m so happy to get the clean sheet for the first time in a while.
“It was a grind. Kilmarnock were very well organised and we didn’t have many opportunities at goal tonight. We had to try to take advantage of dead ball situations or play a bit quicker if we could which we tried to do. But at that moment the ball fell into my hands and I threw it to Jake and took a quick throw to Tony. He’s held it up really well, found a great pass and its a brilliant finish from Allan Campbell.
“He deserves it because he was the best player on the park against Celtic and we know what he can do all around the pitch and he can certainly score goals. I’m delighted for him.”
