'Thought Armstrong would start', 'Justice for Considine', 'You won't please everyone': Fans react to Steve Clarke's Scotland team vs Serbia

The Tartan Army is willing the Scotland men’s national team to take the nation to the first major tournament in since 1998 with a win tonight – but everyone has their opinion on Steve Clarke’s side.

The manager selected his XI to see off Serbia in Belgrade – with a few changes to the side – and social media was abuzz with support and suggestions.

@CornishBankie: “On form, I thought Armstrong would start. Also big Considine as well. Cmon Scotland.”

@HEELMcLean: “No Considine. Pain.”

@FreeNwakali: “Wow. Drop a guy who’s never conceded a goal or failed to win a game at international level for a guy who has done lots of both. #Justice4Considine.”

Lenny Davidson: “Scott McKenna is the best center half in the championship and he's sub,what a joke man.”

@Gunnie__67: “O'Donnell is a bomb scare, was woeful on Sunday, hopefully steps up the night.”

There was some agreement for the manager though.

Craig Taylor: “Not the starting 11 I would have gone with but In Clarke we trust. Come on Scotland.”

@samtaylor135: “I’d have Palmer over SOD and Armstrong over McGregor but apart from that - pretty spot on.”

Grant Cockburn: “Decent team - maybe Gordon?? Never sure about O'Donnell?? McTominay should be in midfield. If still a back three bring in Considine and drop Jack. Armstrong off bench later with maybe Griffiths if chasing game? Believe everyone believe. Ffs an hour to wait.”

And a word from the opposition… Boris Sumarac: “I feel sorry that stadium will be empty today, and that l will not hear "Flower of Scotland " live.
