Structural damage to Falkirk floodlights forces Airdrie match move

Falkirk have moved their SPFL League One match against Airdrie to Sunday this weekend.

The Bairns have asked for a last-ditch postponement after discovering structural damage to one of the Falkirk Stadium’s two floodlight towers.

They had been due to host Thomas Robert and Ian Murray’s Diamonds at 3pm on Saturday but will now share Sunday with the Scottish Cup final – but kick off in advance of Celtic and Hearts’ 2.15pm start at Hampden.

If all goes well with remedial action the Bairns will kick-off at 12pm.
