Deadline day was, as expected, a very busy one with one particular deal shocking Scottish football with former Arsenal star Aaron Ramsey choosing Rangers over a number of other offers, signing a loan deal until the end of the season.
Not only is it a coup for the Scottish champions but it shows the increasing standing of Scottish football with the Welsh star having options in the Premier League. The Ibrox club also added Polish right-back Mateusz Zukowski in what was a hectic day in Govan.

Most of the top-flight clubs did some business one way or another but it was a quiet day for the likes of Hearts, Motherwell and Livingston.

5. Duo exit Hibs
Jamie Murphy and Alex Gogic left Easter Road. The Hibs duo have largely been bit-part players this season and do not feature in Shaun Maloney’s plans. 6. Raith make controversial signing
Raith Rovers made arguably the most controversial signing in the Scottish transfer window with David Goodwillie joining the Fife side from Clyde. Despite objections from high-profile club sponsor Val McDermid. 7. Loan deals for Celtic pair
Celtic allowed two of the club’s younger fringe players to leave on loan. Osaze Urhogide completed his switch to Belgian side KV Oostende, while Adam Montgomery joined league rivals Aberdeen. 8. Soro move falls through
One player who is unlikely to be leaving Celtic is Ismaila Soro. Dutch side Fortuna Sittard wanted the midfielder on loan with an option to buy but talks broke down late on with the fee becoming a stumbling block as Celtic look to recoup as much of the £2million spent on the player as possible.
